The Downtown Development Authority/Main Street Program*
is funded by The City of Hartwell, private donations and fundraising.
The organization represents all businesses located in the focus district
and is not a 'membership only' program.
The program is staffed by one full time employee, and overseen by volunteers who make up
the Executive & Advisory Boards.
Many local businesses support the work and mission of the organization through donations which are greatly appreciated, understanding the importance of revitalizing and maintaining the community's commerce center and 'sense of place', an ongoing challenge .
