Hartwell Historic Preservation Commission Certificate of Appropriateness—A map of the downtown historic district is located at the City Zoning Office.  The commission meets the second Tuesday of every month at 4:00 p.m. in the City Hall Annex at 500 E. Howell Street. 706-376-4756

Sign Guidelines—Business signs must conform to city sign regulations and must also be approved by the Historic Preservation Commission.
